Tanggol is a founding member of the Coordinating Committee for Alternative Law Groups (ALG), a network of development-oriented legal assistance groups in the country. Concerns of the group range from agrarian reform, labor law, women’s rights, environmental law to defense of urban poor. The network was set up to strengthen the solidarity among practitioners of developmental lawyering.

 

Tanggol is likewise the Philippine Office of the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW), an extensive communications network of public interest environmental lawyers around the world. By establishing a solid communication link among members, ELAW aims to assist in the expansion and effective implementation of policy and jurisprudence on environment through shared experiences and models from many jurisdictions.

 

It is also a member of Forum Asia, a regional human rights organization of 40 member organizations spanning 14 countries in South, Southeast and Northeast Asia.

 

The organization continues to network with other NGOs and public interest law groups to pursue its environmental protection and conservation work.
